You have arrived at the web site of artist Mary L. Davis, T.W.S., of Houston Texas. Mary has been painting since she was a teenager. That youthful free spirit struggles to live on and finds its freedom from the past and the future in art and her art buddies.
Mary is President of the Watercolor Art Society - Houston. It is a time consuming position but she enjoys it because of the wonderful artists she has come to know. The challenges of progressing technologically as well as growing the membership of WASH are many--particularly during the current economic downturn. She is very lucky to have a wonderful board of directors and a great group of volunteers who are very dedicated to WAS-H.
NEWS FLASH 2/2010 - Mary has been notified that she has been accepted into Archway Gallery, www.archwaygallery.com 2305 Dunlavy, Houston, Tx. She will begin showing her work at the Gallery in March.
Mary's painting "Faces of Turmoil" below was selected by the Texas Watercolor Society for their 61st Annual Exhibition in April in Rockport, Texas. This selection also won her Signature Status with the Texas Watercolor Society.
"Faces of Turmoil" also won the Merchandise Awards--provided by M Graham Watercolor Paints, one of the the largest dollar valued awards--in the WAS-H 40th Annual Members Exhibit.

Click here to go to the WAS-H web site and look for the link to the calendar and the photo gallery. From the calendar page you can even join the WAS-H email list to keep up with all the current news. While there look for the latest schedule of classes. WAS-H is a premier teaching facility for watermedia.
Mary took a recess from her art to go through relationships and have very special children. Finally, fate lead her to the right guy and she again found her artistic spirit. This web site shares that new-found spirit and her zest for life. It also shares glimpses into the dark side of her past and her frustration with those forces that oppose the good and fair side of spirituality.
If you like what you see here and at WAS-H then she is happy.
